Injection / Grouting Packers are used to isolate a lower section of the hole to conduct pressurised water testing or grouting. Packers typically use a 1″ or 2″ threaded connection with an external inflation line to inflate the packer. The threaded connection is used as the grouting / injection conduit and the packer typically incorporates a flush finished bottom to assist in removal.
Each individual packer is designed to hold back the differential pressure that is effectively trying to eject the packer out of the hole during injection or grouting. Therefore it is imperative grouting / injection pressures are known so AGE can provide a packer with suitable frictional capacity.
